Colin Cameron

Chief Production & Audio Officer

Colin is an audio engineer and producer for WOUB, a doctoral student studying health communication and digital storytelling at Ohio University, and a long-time musician and songwriter. Originally from Petal, Mississippi, Colin graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2018 with a degree in communication. Between 2017 and 2020, he was a touring musician - performing across the United States with his band before attending graduate school at his alma mater in 2021. Colin earned his master's degree in communication from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2022 and landed in Athens, Ohio shortly after.

In his time at Ohio University, Colin has become actively involved with the efforts of the Barbara Geralds Institute for Storytelling and Social Impact, helping the Institute create and produce diverse content and programs regarding asset-based approaches to bettering communities and positive transformation. In addition, Colin is an avid volunteer with "Behind The White Coat" - an annual event through Ohio University's Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine where medical students and faculty explore the transformative relationship between medicine and storytelling.

Last, Colin continues to pursue music and fronts the band, Beach Novels (based in Hattiesburg, Mississippi). He most enjoys writing music, playing shows, spending quality time with his family and partner, and playing with his goofy dog, Goose.
